Product scope

TouchLineUp is a coach-first matchday application designed to support team roster management, lineup planning, substitutions, matchday context, and coach-observed participation estimates. The current product is designed for local-first use and is intended to help coaches organize matchday decisions and monitoring in real time.

TouchLineUp does not establish official competition time. Referees, official timekeepers, and the applicable competition rules remain authoritative for official match timing and event records. TouchLineUp helps coaches estimate player participation and manage matchday activity; it does not certify official playing time.

Local-first storage and durability

The browser version saves information on the user's device rather than maintaining a complete CloudRiver-hosted copy. Data may include team names, player names, jersey numbers, lineups, match metadata, substitutions, participation estimates, and match closure information.

Local storage is not guaranteed to be backed up, permanent, or immune from device loss, application removal, data clearing, platform eviction, or other operational risk. CloudRiver does not currently maintain a complete server-side backup of all rosters and match histories for every user. Coaches should use the available export carefully and maintain any additional records they need. Export does not guarantee preservation beyond the device or the saved file.

The browser version keeps active match information and archived match records and summaries in browser storage on the device. Storage and update behavior in a distributed native app must be verified separately.

Coach-initiated export

A coach may create a JSON export of supported local information and archived match history. The file includes an integrity check for detecting accidental changes; the check is not encryption. Exported files may contain player names, roster, team, and match information. The coach is responsible for choosing a suitable storage location and protecting any copy shared or saved outside TouchLineUp.

The browser version does not provide a built-in restore or import feature. An export is not guaranteed to be complete, recoverable, or retained by the device or a third-party destination. The export is not encrypted by the application. Native app behavior must be verified separately.

Coach responsibility and data stewardship

Coaches are responsible for the accuracy, appropriateness, and lawful use of the data they enter into TouchLineUp. TouchLineUp may contain information related to youth athletes, school teams, club contexts, or other user-managed records. The application does not ordinarily require home addresses, exact birth dates, government identification numbers, medical histories, ethnicity, or religious affiliation. However, names, team data, and other user-entered information may still be personal or sensitive depending on the context.

CloudRiver expects coaches to follow appropriate privacy, legal, school, or league guidance when using the application in youth or other sensitive contexts. This product does not create a universal parental-consent mechanism or resolve every legal question for every jurisdiction. Unresolved youth, school, and international privacy questions should be reviewed with counsel as applicable.

Coach-entered information

Coaches remain responsible for choosing what information to enter and whether to share it. This draft does not claim ownership of coach-entered information or grant CloudRiver a right to use it for unrelated independent commercial purposes. The parties' rights, any limited processing permissions needed to provide the product, and any applicable customer agreement require qualified legal review before distribution.

CloudRiver does not intend to sell customer information or authorize third parties to use it for unrelated independent commercial purposes. This does not prevent a coach from choosing to share information for support or allow service providers to process information as needed to deliver that communication.

Support reporting and diagnostics

TouchLineUp includes a support feature by which a coach may prepare a support package, optionally select a screenshot, and review the contents before choosing to copy, request an email composer, or open the device or browser share sheet. No support report is automatically sent and no screenshot is automatically captured.

Diagnostic preparation occurs locally. The default diagnostic schema is designed to minimize personal information and typically excludes player names, team names, school names, coach names, opponent names, precise location, raw rosters, raw match exports, authentication tokens, and stable tracking identifiers.

A voluntarily attached screenshot may contain personal or team information. The coach remains responsible for reviewing the screenshot before sharing it. Email or share-sheet handoff may transfer information outside the device to a third-party destination. TouchLineUp cannot confirm delivery or control retention by a selected destination.

Future feature disclosures

The browser version described here does not automatically synchronize match history to CloudRiver, send support reports automatically, or automatically send reports to an AI service. Subscription billing and production analytics are not described as available in this draft. These statements do not verify a distributed native app. Any future feature in these categories would require additional review, notice, and approval before launch.

CloudRiver may develop future capabilities such as historical match preservation, coach-controlled historical deletion, export tools, and optional future cloud synchronization. Such features will be separately disclosed and approved before public activation.

Updates and data continuity

CloudRiver will design future updates, storage changes, and subscription transitions so they do not silently delete, overwrite, reset, or make customer-created matchday information inaccessible. Before a change to storage or access is released, CloudRiver will require migration checks and a recovery or rollback plan appropriate to that change. Access to existing records and any backup or export feature then available will not depend on a paid subscription.

These commitments do not guarantee recovery if a device is lost or destroyed, local data is cleared, or an exported file is lost or damaged. The browser version does not provide CloudRiver-hosted backup or built-in restore/import. These product requirements do not mean every future recovery or migration capability already exists.

Subscriptions and paid features

No subscription billing is currently active for TouchLineUp. Future paid capabilities, if any, will be subject to separate review and disclosure. CloudRiver does not currently represent prices, tiers, renewal periods, or refund policies for any future paid offering.

Access to existing customer-created records and any backup or export capability then available will not be made conditional on a paid subscription. Any future paid offering must be separately approved, disclosed, and implemented; this draft does not establish pricing or subscription terms.

Related documents

This draft is intended to be read with the CloudRiver Terms of Use draft and the CloudRiver Privacy Policy draft.

For product-specific privacy disclosures, see the TouchLineUp Privacy & Data Practices draft.

These documents do not by themselves establish that a user has accepted binding application terms or resolve how product terms relate to a separate customer agreement. Those questions require an approved acceptance process and qualified legal review.

Application-store terms

Any license terms or other contractual language required for distribution through an application store have not been approved in this draft. Their relationship to these terms and to any applicable customer agreement must be reviewed by qualified counsel before an Apple or other store release.
